In Stagnation
Peace everyone and welcome to TalkswithImani.
I’m just going to dive into it: today’s topic is about stagnation. It’s something I deal with more than I’d like to admit, and honestly it makes me feel like shit. It has a way of knocking without warning and turning into a long - term guest. Stagnation is heavy, strong and scary. I know being in this state doesn’t define us or our potential, it’s just a roadblock. I know it’s temporary, even when it doesn’t feel like it.
If you’re reading this and you relate — if stagnation has its hands on you right now — it’s okay. I’m here, dealing with it too. It might make you want to cry, scream, or sleep for hours on end. I don’t have the answers, and I never will. But I do know this; the little steps matter. Get up! Dance. Make a colorful meal. Play with your dog. Feel something. That feeling — no matter how small — is light. And right now, i believe that’s worth everything.
Thank you for being here. Remember; this journey is yours, and you’re doing just fine.

Learning What Aligns
Peace everyone and welcome to TalkswithImani.
I wanted to talk about how stressful it can be to figure out a career that truly resonates with you. From a young age, we’re constantly asked—over and over—what we want to be when we grow up. As we evolve, the answer changes. What starts as uncertainty slowly turns into self-doubt, and over time, that self-doubt can become heavy and hard to manage.
I’ve personally struggled with figuring out what I actually want to do, and whether I even needed a career to feel grounded in myself or confident in my abilities. Through that process, I learned something important: I am here to live my life as myself and for myself.
Taking the time to sit down and reflect on what I genuinely enjoy has helped me more than I expected. Those small, intentional steps led me toward becoming a future massage therapist—this time without uncertainty or wavering.
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by the pressure of choosing a career that needs to both support you financially and fulfill you emotionally, know that you’re not alone. I truly believe it’s possible to find something that satisfies both; it just takes patience, honest self-reflection, and the willingness to eliminate what doesn’t align.
I also want to say this: you are amazing whether you choose to have a career or you’re still navigating what aligns with you. This life is yours, and you are capable of becoming anything you desire.
Thanks for being here. Remember: this journey is yours, and you’re doing just fine.

Motivation Block
It All Begins Here
Hey everyone,
I want to talk about dealing with motivational blockage. I’m sure a lot of people experience this feeling day to day. I want to share that I’ve felt this way too, and if you’re feeling this right now, you are seen and not alone. You are not required to feel motivated every day, or even every week. Social media and sometimes even family members, can pressure us into thinking we always have to be disciplined or constantly '‘on our grind'‘; but that kind of expectation can be exhausting.
As your distant friend, I am here to hold your hand and say: give yourself grace and patience. Motivation comes and goes, and that’s okay. You’ll find the energy or inspiration again, when the time is right. It’s not a race.
You are your own coach and number one supporter. Trust yourself and your timing- I’m here supporting you every step of the way.
Thanks for being here. Remember: this journey is yours, and you’re doing just fine.
Peace and love,
Imani
